Today I found an email I had written a couple of years ago to another "sannyasin" (spiritual seeker) about my experiences at Rancho Rajneesh in Oregon in the early 1980's. I was moved by my own words and the remembrances they evoked so I'll quote that email now: From my experiences at the Ranch came no beliefs, only remembrances of experiences that changed my life. I would have it no other way. I loved the Ranch and even the times of terror at the hands of Puja, the times of ecstasy while dancing to abandon at the Disco, while walking home in the bitter cold of a snowy winter's night, while smelling the delicious food at Magdalena Cafeteria, while dreaming Sangito would somehow notice me and fall in love, while flying to Portland on the plane and throwing up into one of those damn silly FAWC First Aid Kits, while doing Dynamic in Rajneesh Mandir in the dark of the morn, while reading Tarot cards with Ava, while answering the switchboard with all the cute, young Ma's who made an old fart like me forget I was old, while standing in line on the street to see him drive by and knock me off my feet, while feeling so damn much love for everyone there I felt ecstatic, while feeling so much fear about intuitions I had and didn't want to acknowledge, while making some of the dearest friends and lovers I'll ever have....

Aaah - it was heaven and hell and everything in between. It was a life lived to the edge of sanity and beyond and I would't give it back for anything in the world.
Love - Taru
